
I write to you today in response to the USG resolution, which reflects the voices of our student leaders, activists and their allies on campus.

ODEI is soliciting proposals up to $5,000 from ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ students, staff, and faculty representing departments, offices, units, and campus organizations to support programming and/or learning opportunities to explore antiracism.

This October we celebrate both Disability Employment Awareness Month and LGBTQ+ History Month. Despite the normative understanding of what it means to be a productive contributing member of society or who we are allowed to love and how we are supposed to behave, members of these minoritized communities have made substantial contributions to making the world what it is today.

As many of you are aware, a protest march is being held tomorrow, Friday, September 25, by the student group Righteous Anger. Healing Resistance. (RAHR)

As we begin the 2020-2021 academic year, DU’s DEI work will engage in five areas of impact, each with specific action items, aimed at securing leadership, taking action, and increasing accountability and consistency across the university. This action plan will serve as a new platformÌýas we enter into the next stages of our vision for a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive DU.

Latinx Heritage Month is celebrated from September 15 toÌýOctober 15 in the United States as a way of recognizing the contributions of those who have ancestral ties to South and Central America, Mexico, and the Caribbean. These days are significant to the Latinx community as they honor anniversaries of independence from European colonial rule for many of these nations.Ìý
