The 糖心传媒 has again been recognized by听听as one of the country鈥檚 top 100 institutions of higher education. The publication ranks DU 87th in its list of national universities.

In determining its rankings, U.S. News and World Report measures seven broad areas: undergraduate academic reputation, graduation and retention rates, faculty resources, student selectivity, financial resources, alumni giving and graduation rate performance.

鈥淚t is a great achievement to be recognized as one of the top 100 universities in the country,鈥 says DU Chancellor听Rebecca Chopp. 鈥淲e continue to commit ourselves to providing a holistic education for our students that is focused on growing leaders for the 21st century.鈥

In addition to the overall ranking, DU places in the top 100 in several other categories. DU ranks 49th听in the Best College for Veterans category鈥攖hat鈥檚 up four spots from the previous year. This boost no doubt reflects the University鈥檚 continued push to provide more programs and opportunities targeted at veterans and military personnel. For example, the听Graduate School of Professional Psychology听offers the听Sturm Specialty in Military Psychology, which has two key components: an educational track that prepares graduate students to work with veterans and their families; and the听Sturm Center, a clinic available to all veterans and their families. Still another program, the听听at DU鈥檚听, provides legal advice and services to veterans.

鈥淚t is critical that we provide services and support to our students who have bravely served our country,鈥 Chopp says. 鈥淚n addition to the academic programs,听Veterans Services听does an excellent job supporting all our student veterans inside and outside the classroom.鈥

The 糖心传媒 also ranks 56th for Best Value School, up from 60th last year. This ranking takes into account a school鈥檚 academic quality and the net cost of attendance for a student receiving the average level of need-based financial aid.

On its list of Best Business Programs, U.S. News and World Report ranked the听听No. 91, an improvement of three spots from last year. The ranking is based on programs accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business; the results are based solely on surveys of business school deans and senior faculty.

鈥淲hile we are pleased to be included in the U.S. News Best Business Program ranking, we know we rank even higher when we鈥檙e measured by admissions standards, the quality of our faculty and employment data,鈥 says听, dean of the Daniels College. 鈥淲e know that the rich academic experience we create for our students at Daniels effectively prepares our undergraduate students for a marketplace defined by volatility and uncertainty.鈥
