After nearly four years of service with the 糖心传媒, Leslie Brunelli, senior vice chancellor for business and financial affairs and treasurer, will be stepping down from her role later this spring. She will begin the next chapter of her career as executive vice president for finance and administration and chief financial officer at Washington State University on May 1, 2023. A search committee will be formed soon to identify Leslie鈥檚 successor and more details will be shared at that time.
听
Leslie鈥檚 impact on DU is indelible. During her time at DU, she developed a campus-wide policy framework that helped strengthen the institution鈥檚 understanding of internal process, enhanced transparency, and promoted accountability. She partnered with the Provost鈥檚 Office on a new, more intentional budget management approach that resulted in a higher degree of financial health for the University. Additionally, she increased communications and understanding about the University鈥檚 financial management through consistent and thorough presentations鈥攖o campus partners and to the Board of Trustees.
听

Through Leslie鈥檚 work collaborating with partners across campus and by serving on and chairing important committees鈥攊ncluding the scenario and financial solutions task force stood up during the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, the University Budget Advisory Committee and the Fiduciary Delegation committee that is responsible for the University鈥檚 retirement plan鈥攕he advanced the interests of DU and the DU community with dedication and professionalism.

We are grateful to Leslie and wish her the best as she begins this new phase in her life and career. We will have an occasion later this spring to celebrate her accomplishments and wish her well in her new role at Washington State University.
