Our commitment to pay equity takes on even greater importance as we navigate both the impacts of COVID-19 and our growing awareness that many people on our campus are experiencing inequity and marginalization in a variety of ways.

We鈥檙e delighted to announce that we have formally adopted an inclusive teaching practices initiative, the Faculty Institute for Inclusive Teaching (FIIT), developed as the result of collaboration between the Faculty Senate, the chancellor, the provost, and the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (ODEI).

In the spring, we temporarily paused the search for our new vice chancellor for diversity, equity, and inclusion (VCDEI) after receiving helpful feedback on what our faculty, students, and staff truly want from this role. We learned that DU yearns for a VCDEI that can speak to and represent the breadth of our community. As such, we changed the position description to more accurately reflect this shared goal.听
